It is better to make a decision knowing all the pros and cons. And if most people have heard about the advantages and have an idea, then what disadvantages can be found here?

For example, there may be severe blows to self-esteem. The child tries very hard, gives his best, goes through auditions one after another, where he shows the maximum… But it's not him they're choosing again! This can hurt an adult, let alone a small one? If the parents do not find an approach to the child, do not explain to him that the reason is not at all in himself, then there is a risk of “earning” low self-esteem. And dealing with the consequences of this in adulthood is not an easy task.

In general, the parents of a small model should become personal psychologists for their son or daughter, a reliable shoulder, support in all matters. Their task is not only to maintain confidence in their abilities and abilities, but also to make it clear that external data, after all, is not the main thing, and life is not limited to just the podium and gloss. And that an ideally handsome person is not always equal to a good person.

Another disadvantage: a child who is seriously engaged in the modeling business often does not have the opportunity to live his one and only childhood like other children. He just doesn't have enough time for this. Classes, auditions, filming… This is how contacts with friends and school buddies are lost, and old hobbies and hobbies become a thing of the past. And there is not always an hour or two for a simple rest. It is very important to find a balance in all aspects of a child's life so that, while achieving success in one, he would not be deprived in the other.

Until the child enters the list of top models and receives millions of contracts from the world's leading agencies, the burden of financial expenses falls on the shoulders of parents. And these expenses are quite a lot. Sometimes you have to go to another city (ticket and accommodation costs). The cost of maintaining the appearance in order. Purchase of outfits, care products. Preparation of a professional portfolio. All this is money and a lot of money.
